Because I’m too lazy to read the manga, I just want to know one thing. Will phos ever have the same smile that she had at the start of the series, or will phos stay the same or perhaps get even more mentally worse?

If you liked the series, you should just read the manga, it's a masterpiece.
Answering your question, you can't even imagine what happens to Phos in later chapters. 😢

Well so far she’s basically depressed but the manga is still ongoing so I assume she’ll be happy again…..hopefully….

Looks like the manga could soon end and, sadly, still no smile from Phos ........ (for reasons that will become very clear when reading the manga).

I've started reading the manga, as there doesn't seem to be any hope for the sequel, but it's so sad what happened to that cute, innocent gem ;(
